I have received a ton of emails asking me if I've been holding out on updates, hiding out from someone or had gone on a sun quest *GASP*... Things have been so quiet so I can't blame you. The truth is, my best friend Spence had a little issue he had to deal with, way out on the east coast. Being the friend that I am, I just had to be there for him so, I told Comicality and Brandar that I was gonna be scarce for a while and would tackle updates when I got back. Not sure how many of our posters are readers but, the whole time I was gone we didn't get any updates submitted. Then one week after I get back, Comicality sends me two more shots from his photo album... Pictures of Taryn and Justin! I know two shots were created from them but, this is from his photo album! This is like the real deal here! (I soooo feel like a drug dealer right now. Hehehe!) I also uploaded the last image Comicality sent me before I took off. Patrick from "Nightfall" is now in the archive. (No clue how I forgot to update that one *Oops*) Anyway... They are live in the archive! Go take a look in the "Sightings/still images" section and don't forget to stop in to "Those Who Crossed Over" and let the rest of our pack and Comicality what you think! Don't forget... Is having it's9TH ANNIVERSARY on June 19th!!! And that will begin our Summer Celebration, so don't miss it!!! For a week after the 19th, we all wear our "C" Symbols proud for everyone to see! Starting this wave off, we have our very first submission to Comsie's "Story Starter" set. Mad Bomber, who has been with us since before the we even went public, has just sent me his version of "Disposal Of Flesh - Part 2" and if you don't mind my saying so... He did an awesome job. I can't wait to see where he goes with it next! Make sure to take a peek in to "The Raider's Market" and then it would be really cool if you took a swing by "Those Who Crossed Over" to let him know what you think ;) We also have Part 6 of Paul Walker's "A Different Perspective, subtitled "Backtracking" available for those of you who are enjoying the read about a certain vampire who isn't afraid to break the rules. You gotta check it out! Comicality has once again poked through his personal photo album and brought us another peek into GFD! If you take a look in "Vampire Sightings" you'll get to see someone very few people are fast enough to get a glimpse of. (He still won't tell me how he got the picture though. I've tried taking his picture before... all I got was a blur. *Grumble*) |
Update Time! First off, I would like to introduce you too my new assistant! Actually, he's more than an assistant really. From the recently completed Clan Short created "Dark Vacation" mini spinoff, "Brandar" has been hired by Comicality to take over with the section of the Archive that has been giving me nothing but trouble. Making short work of it's set up, he has taken our "Those Who Crossed Over" message board and brought it to life as our new "Post Master"! Make sure to stop in to the board and give him a welcome to the team! Also keep an eye on the dark goings on in there ;) I recently got an interesting submission that I had to team up with Comicality and Brandar to figure out a cool way to add "NON-GFD, NON-Vampire" content. Oliver Twisted submitted an image of "Cyrus" From Comicality's "Savage Moon" series. I decided this was an awesome oportunity to shake up "The Raiders Market", adding "The Raider's Table" which can be home for "All" things Comicality... Any of his stories that don't fit the "GFD" bill now have a place. Raiders will put the damndest things on their table ;) Go check it out, and let us know what you think of "Cyrus"! (Thanks Oliver Twisted!) We also have uncovered an error in the archive *Gasp*! Mad Bomber's story, "A Resurrection for Vengeance" which was moved to our "Dark Legacies" section has been moved back into it's position within the "Vampire Scriptures" section. This story does infact include characters from GFD and is now back in it's rightful place. (An oversight on my part, sorry guys! I mean hey, that story was in place before we opened our doors. I simply forgot who was in it. *Whistles and stares at ceiling* That's my story... LOL!) |

"Renegade Dawn" and "Honor Among Thieves" just went up giving us a total of 4 story starters in the "Raiders Market"! This is your chance to take control of one of Com's stories! Decide what happens next, choose how many chapters it's gonna take for that to happen, even decide how it's gonna end. I hope there are tons of people out there working on the next chapter to each one. They are awesome starts! (You're writing one? Right? *Giggle* Comsie's gonna give his own ending too so you just gotta pick one... Hehehe!) Just wanted to give a quick shout to let you know that I finally got "Those Who Crossed Over" (Our personal message board!) back up and running! I wasn't able to save the few posts that were in the old one but, we are now using a "Voy-Forum" in place of the one I was trying to maintain ;) Even if you've posted before, please take a look and let me know what you think with a post ;) I'd really like Comsie to get some feedback, and maybe start a trend of some seriously dark conversation... :) |

Update Alert! I kinda figured you might like to see something new... So... Hehehe! Comicality has added another character likeness to the sightings section. Since he already created a "Kid" he felt better if "Max" was there to keep an eye out for him. Normally I post new pictures in the order they come in, but come on... We all know those two are a set. Mismatched as they may appear ;) Go check out the new addition and be sure if you see any of the "gang" out there on the web to send em our way. (Keep in mind, even if a character already has a likeness posted, if you find a picture that to you just screams out to you to be them, don't keep it to yourself. We all have our ideas what the gang looks like, this is just an awesome way to compare. (Sometimes the likeness is a total mind blower. That picture of "Kid" gives me goose bumps since that is soooooo what I imagined him to look like. *Giggle*) Justin gives me shivers too... Okay, maybe a bit more than just shivers :P And is nyone else losing it over Cylance?!? God, I really should go out tonight. LMAO! Paul Walker just posted a new chapter of "A Different Perspective"! His newest Part 4: "Making Mistakes and Breaking Rules" is proving to have earned it's name. Definately gotta add that to your reading list :) We have a brand new story in Dark Legacies tonight, and it's starting out awesome!!! "Life of Fear" By: Whatsifsowhatsit, Chapter 1: subtitled "The Attack" had me glued to my screen just after I formatted it to go live. I personally can't wait to see where this new scripture takes us. Make sure when you read it to give the author a shout and let him know what you think... Okay? |
Updates, updates updates! Here comes the second wave. (I told you there was more on the way!) I just put Empathy's "A Cursed Life" Chapter 4 into the archives. The newest chapter (subtitled: Grievous Intrusion) begins with something we all learned early on never to do. I know most of you will understand once you read it and just like me, won't be able to put it down until the final sentance. As always, please let him know what you think of his newest work! Chapter 3 of my own "Here Without you" is now live. I've recieved literally a ton of emails about this story and want to give you all a huge hug. One question I keep getting asked is "...but are you happy now?" I am but, it was a long hard path that got me to that point... as you'll begin to see when chapter 4 is finished ;) Hope you continue to enjoy it! Comicality has offered us something different with this update! Following WrathOfMagneto's lead, he has offered us some more likenesses of our favorite characters! Omigod! You Gotta go check out what just got put up in the archives! I mean seriously, I just read it and almost dropped my laptop! First, (Yeah, there's a few things!) WrathOfMagneto did this really cool pic of Bryson. He keeps it up and the whole CarLot group is gonna be in there! Sweet, right? Paul Walker just sent me Part Three oef his story "A New Perspective" and it's lookin great so far! Make sure to give him a shout if yur readin it too! Feedback is the bigest and best tip you could ever give an online author. (Well, unless you wanna mail like a million bucks or something. Then I'll provide my home address for you.... LOL! J/K!) Thanks to the suggestion of a good friend of ours, who recently crossed over... No... I had nothing to do with it! Stop staring at me like that... Anyway, like I was saying, looks like soon my little list of vampires will be available to be signed up for. The folks who are hosting The Bloodbank told me what software to use and stuff, so we will have our own little newsletter! Sweet, right? So, instead of just adding anyone who crosses over, people will be able to request to be turned... Well, it's a cool thing, even if you overlook the "line up to be lunch" sound to it. *Giggle* So to give the new software a real test run, I'll give you the heads up for some new stuff in the archives! Comicality submitted TWO new story starters that you seriously gotta go check out. One's startin kinda sad and the other is just creepy. They are so cool! Anyway, he plans to write further on them and wants anyone else who can imagine their own storyline to continue the story to write and send them in to be posted with his!!! Can be one more chapter, can be a whole series if you want. If I wasn't so busy, I'd tackle "The Awakening" for sure ;) You gotta go read it to see why though. Both Starters are in "The Raiders Market" and the more people in on it, the better! Go check them out, you owe it to yourself! We also are expecting some new story updates really soon and I've seen some really sweet works that are on the desktop and being worked on by some really cool people. Well, I'm sure most of you guys are aware http://bloodbank.shackoutback.net crossed over into darkness this past Halloween. I can't tell you how exciting it was to suddenly watch a flood of traffic finally hit the area. It has been months since I was first approached on the project, planning and design was a ton of work and has been just as much fun :) Thanks to you stepping up so early with your own works and in some cases even lending a hand with troubleshooting the untested areas... I owe you all a bug hug. (Maybe even a nibble on the neck. I promise not to drain you ;) That doesn't end the excitement though. Now with submissions coming in and opening the previously "Not Crossed over" pages, new sections of the site are finally opened. As of the time this message goes out, "The Raiders Market", "Vampire friendly Forums" and "Dark Legacies" are our newest launches. Marking our second mile stone since launch, we are now up and running 100%!!! Infinity has submitted a GFD Desktop Wallpaper for us all to download and enjoy. (I already have mine on my desktop!) We also recieved some really cool artwork from Icedragon which will be going up really soon. Dark Legacies actually reminded me that the late addition of those two categories caused me to completely forget that some earlier work, had a new category they should have been moved to...
Recently moved to their final place in darkness... "Dark Legacies": "A Resurrection for Vengeance" "A Cursed Life" These two were originally in the "Scriptures" section until "Dark Legacies" was created for stories that didn't involve the GFD characters or story itself. They were submitted so early, I completely forgot to rethink their placement. It was an oversight and has finally been caught and corrected. My appologies to these two awesome authors. You are still in the first 2 positions as they are categorized in order of submission, which is where you will stay for all eternity now! If anyone bookmarked anything inside "Scriptures", double check them. I have done a bit more planning for future growth so it has been mildly restructured. Go take a look... I'll wait... See? :) I'm just thankful to have caught it this early in the game. Thanks for making this crossover as painless as it has been. That's no easy trick to pull off ya know :) Each new submitted work helps in fine tuning and in some cases designing each section of the archive. Without you guys submitting before the launch, It definately would be a hand full right now! Keep in mind, today is Saturday, November 18th. Comicality's deadline for subscriptions in order to be eligible to recieve his special "Blood Bank" extra ;) If you are recieving this Message today, then you are definately on the list.
